Prague Life: First contact

A lot of time has spent from my first post on this subject, but here is the next one.

I can not say that Glogster, my current employer, was the first contact, but it was first real one. Others were answering me that I need to know Czech, or they are not looking for an employee now.
So after the first answer from Glogster, somewhere in the beginning of October 2011, we had a few interviews.

The first one was a standard one, "what was I doing in past", "what am I doing now", "what would I like to do", nothing special, but I enjoyed of this interview, also for me it was a test of how well I know English, it still worst. Now I can say that my first interview with Glogster passed. In the end by email I got an exercise, there I should write an exercise where the scope was to simulate the life of some microorganisms. I will try to describe:

"Organisms are living in a matrix world, in each sell only one organism can live. The program is getting as input the definition of the world, with initial positions of the organisms in cell, the world is of dimension m*n. Also as input is coming the number of iterations that world is alive. On each iteration the organism dies in case it has less then two neighbors or more then four. An organism is born if the empty cell is surrounded at least of three organisms. An organism could have maximum four neighbors."

The condition was just to say them how much time I consider it will take to me for implementation, before starting to work on, and in the end how much it real took + the source code of the application. I forget to say, I was interviewed for a position of PHP Developer, so the solution should be implemented in PHP. I have done it, but I make a mistake in estimation, it took me one hour more to implement instead of what I was estimated.

Next interview with them, all interviews were done by Skype, we just analyzed my work. It was nothing special, maybe because they had no time to analyze and check my code, they just made a quick overview of style of code.

The third interview was about my expectation on job, salary, when I can start, what documents do I need to be able to come to Czech, etc. About what documents was required I will tell in next my post, but now a few notes about my expectations. Taking in consideration that I do not know Czech, I had no document to be able to come to Czech, they saw me just on Skype I said them that I would be agree on a salary of a junior. A junior salary is somewhere around 30000-35000 Kc (Koruna), this is gross salary and one Euro equals 24 Kc.

After a few days I got an offer and I accepted it.
